Some boards are fast. Others are reactive. The Rad Snapper combines both.
If we had to place the Rad Snapper in our current lineup, it would sit somewhere between the PK 2.0 and the CSQ—but with a completely new DNA!The Rad Snapper generates noticeably more drive and speed. This is evident both in acceleration through turns and when "recovering" after tricks—it’s easier to stay in the wave and fully harness its power! This creates a new, "fluid" riding sensation, allowing you to link maneuvers together seamlessly.
The slightly "curvier" outline with a narrow nose opens the door for deep bottom turns and vertical surfing. Initiating snaps, in particular, feels effortless and predictable. Nevertheless, you can apply maximum pressure and maintain full control thanks to the subtle swallow tail.
The Rad Snapper has a clearly defined, highly controllable release point. Tail releases, rotations, and similar moves can be initiated precisely and triggered on demand. This also benefits any kind of air—easy release and great pop make it much simpler!
The combination of high drive/speed AND the control of a classic performance board is what makes the Rad Snapper special. No compromises—a shape that builds instant confidence and works right from the start.
We recommend the Rad Snapper for medium-powerful to very powerful waves such as Citywaves, Unit Waves, and Riverwaves like Nuremberg, Hanover, Ebensee, the Eisbach and similar spots.
We surf the Rad Snapper with either FCS2 Reactor or Performer fins, depending on our mood – both in size M, paired with a Rebelfins Rapid center fin. Personally, we mostly use the Neo Glass construction from FCS or even stiffer constructions.
Julian is 183 cm tall, weighs 80 kg, and rides the Rad Snapper in 5’7. Phillip is 187 cm tall, weighs 85 kg, and rides the Rad Snapper in 5'8. Nina is 165cm tall, weighs 62kg and rides the Rad Snapper in 5'2. The Rad Snapper should be ridden at a similar lenght to 1 inch longer than lon1-2 inches longer than our Pocket Knife. The following table is intended to help you choose the right size. That said, it's obviously difficult to give a precise size recommendation without knowing your specific use case, skill level, surfing style, etc. If you're unsure, don't hesitate to contact us directly!
