The Pocket Knife 2.0 seamlessly continues the success story of its predecessor. A performance board for a wide variety of waves with maximum fun factor! Its versatile shape generates massive speed even in weaker waves, which can be effortlessly translated into carves, snaps, or aerial tricks. But it also shines on powerful Citywaves – the Pocket Knife is your Swiss Army Knife for river and rapid waves!
The performance-oriented outline is inspired by classic shortboards and has been adapted for river surfing. The tail is wide enough to provide beginners with the stability they need, while giving advanced riders plenty of pop for airs. The Pocket Knife delivers exceptional control in turns, and the double concave adds that extra bit of agility on the wave! The shortboard-style rails of the Pocket Knife 2.0 combine speed and control, yet remain forgiving.
More than two years and over ten iterations separate the original Pocket Knife from version 2.0! It’s our most refined shape to date – and it shows! Compared to its predecessor, the 2.0 version has been fine-tuned even more toward performance, without compromising beginner-friendliness. The nose and tail outline are slightly narrower now, and the 2.0 features a faster rocker line. The complete package gives you an even faster, more agile feel than before, guaranteeing fun and progress in equal measure! If you liked the original Pocket Knife, you'll love the 2.0! And if you haven’t tried it yet, now’s the time!
We recommend it for waves with less power, such as the Almkanal, all the way up to powerful citywaves. It's also highly recommended as a one-board quiver for spots with varying setups or water levels, such as Ebensee or Nuremberg.
We ride the Pocket Knife with medium side fins and a small center fin. Personally, we use FCS2 Performer fins in size Medium with the Neo Glass construction, paired with a Rebelfins Rapid center fin. For more info on this topic, check out our detailed fin guide for river surfing
