We are NOA,

an Austrian surfboard maker born on the rivers of Europe.

Born from the passion of two land-locked surfers, NOA grew out of the challenge of riding river waves with boards that weren’t built for them. We set out to create something different - boards that unite performance, durability and individuality, crafted with the same quality and attention to detail we once searched for ourselves.

Our obsession lies in shaping surfboards that feel alive under your feet. From refined river and ocean models to fully custom designs, each NOA board is built to last and to carry the unique story of the rider. We believe that the right board isn’t just equipment - it’s an expression of identity, a companion in progression and a gateway from day to day life.

Surfing has always been about more than the ride. For us it’s culture, community and connection. That’s why we collaborate with surfers, waves and local partners to keep pushing design forward. At NOA, we want every rider - whether on a local rapidwave or a distant coast - to feel the same thrill that inspired us to start shaping in the first place.

For us, quality is a matter of heart as much as skill. Many of the details in a surfboard’s construction may go unnoticed by the casual eye - and often “good enough” would be, well, enough. But we aim higher.

Every board is the result of countless brainstorming sessions, endless discussions about the smallest refinements, and hours of testing and reworking. That pursuit of perfection shows in the finished product: a level of craftsmanship you can feel under your feet, session after session.

“Surfboards” and “durability” don’t often appear in the same sentence - and in practice, they’re rarely easy to combine. We began shaping because we couldn’t find boards that met our own standards for lasting strength.

Today, we’ve solved that challenge by pairing innovative, top-grade materials with refined craftsmanship. The result: boards that not only meet our own demands for longevity but also hold up to yours - delivering stoke session after session, without compromise.

Shaping With Responsibility

Durability and sustainability go hand in hand. No matter which materials or processes are used, only a board that lasts can truly be called sustainable.

That’s why we focus first on building boards with long lifespans - and then go further by using renewable raw and auxiliary materials wherever it genuinely makes sense, not just for “greenwashing.”

This way, we minimize our impact and ensure that every board we shape leaves as little footprint as possible on the planet we all depend on.
