Where should we begin - probably with the fact that the "Bachforelle" (Trout) is our most versatile shape – designed for maximum fun in a variety of conditions and different kinds of waves. What stands out is the exceptional blend of agility with stability, making it both perfectly suited as your first hardboard for city waves as well as your one-board quiver for tons of different waves and changing conditions. Whether you’re a beginner or a pro, the Bachforelle delivers control, speed, and fun at every level.
Radical turns, progressive tricks, or simply clean lines – the board can handle it all. The wide center outline provides stability and speed, while the nose and tail sections are designed for precise maneuvers and agile surfing.
A pronounced double concave, flat deck, and a mini swallow tail bring pop, control, and drive. The subtle vee starting at the center fin ensures smooth yet quick rail-to-rail transitions.
High performance meets skate vibes – the Bachforelle is your go-to board for every session.
The Bachforelle is our personal board of choice for the Eisbach (E1), Ebensee, and the Almkanal. However, the shape is equally suitable for many other waves such as "Citywaves", "Unitwaves" and (semi)natural river waves, such as the Fuchslochwelle in Nuremberg, Vlny Stvanice in Prague, or the Leinewelle in Hanover. If you're unsure whether this board is suitable for your needs, don't hesitate to reach out to us – we’d be happy to advise you!
We prefer the Bachforelle with medium side fins and a small center fin. Personally, we ride FCS2 Reactor fins in size medium in the Neo Glass construction, paired with a Rebelfins Rapid center fin.
Julian is 185 cm tall, weighs 80 kg, and rides the Bachforelle in 5'6. Phillip is 187 cm tall, weighs 85 kg, and rides the Bachforelle in 5'7 with stock dimensions. Nina is 165cm tall, weighs 62kg and rides the Bachforelle in 5‘1. The following table is intended to help you choose the right size. That said, it's obviously difficult to give a precise size recommendation without knowing your specific use case, skill level, surfing style, etc. If you're unsure, don't hesitate to reach out to us directly! We’re happy to help you find the ideal dimensions for you!
